When this comes out, I will be first in line to get it (but dont hold me 2 that). Your squad mates are allways getting shot so you all ways have to revive them but thats ok considering they allways save you. Delta ,who all have witty personalitys, is given the toughest missions of the Clone Wars, tasks that require utter precision with no room for error. You'll play as RC 01/138, the commander of the elite Delta squad, and you'll be joined by three teammates nicknamed Fixer, Scorch, and Sev. Fett, though they've undergone more rigorous training than their comrades in the regular army, and their personalities (and, inexplicably, their voices) are much more unique. The elite troopers that you'll control in Republic Commando are also clones of Mr. Attack of the Clones introduced us to the Republic's massive clone armies, all the soldiers of which are exact duplicates of the infamous galactic bounty hunter Jango Fett (wouldnt that be weird). I have to say this is a breath of fresh air for the FPS community. To survive this incredible demo you must break the two seals that protect the entrance to the catacombs, defeat the beast army, and survive the evils that await you in the world of Exigo.Game developers, start taking notes. Then descend to the caverns below and encounter a mysterious enemy. Seek out resources to build yourself an army of up to 200 units and defeat the Beasts' army aboveground. You and your army are the sole survivors of an air crash in the magical forests where evil lurks behind every corner. Engage in a single-player campaign and save the world of Exigo, or go online for massive multiplayer skirmishes with up to eight players. Armies on all sides can delve deep underground to travel unseen by foes, or they can rise to the surface to unleash powerful attacks on unsuspecting enemies. Take control of massive armies, wage wars in forests and river valleys, and then descend into the caverns and catacombs to face off against the dark evil. While the two-leveled universe of Exigo looks intriguing, the demo's gameplay didn't impress us as much as we hoped.Īrmies of Exigo is a real-time strategy game in which elves, beasts, knights, and other creatures battle both above and below the ground. You can't zoom or rotate the view with the mouse you can't save or load games and you can't select all units by type with hot keys. Some necessary interface functionality went missing in this first demo. Veteran real-time gamers will pick up the game easily, but newbies should peruse the read-me file first, since the demo includes no tutorials, help, or control information. It's all fun in the impressively detailed 3D world, but it's nothing to scream about. However, it doesn't demonstrate the potential of multilevel battles and displays the underground world only briefly. The demo's gameplay is standard resource collecting, technology development, and real-time battles between humanoids and monsters. Armies of Exigo's contribution to the real-time fantasy genre promises to be a split between aboveground and underground worlds, which could open up an entirely new set of tactics. The rise of the horrific race of the Fallen has thrown the world of Exigo into turmoil, pitting the factions of Empire, Beast, and Fallen against each other.
